Composer / Playwright.
Alon grew up in Philadelphia and his introduction to music began when he was five-years-old, studying Suzuki Method classical piano at the Academy of Music.
A few years later, Alon vividly recalls leading a mutiny of sorts with his fellow classmates when they invaded the Philadelphia Orchestra’s instrument storage room, and had a bit of a field day; Alon has been hooked on music ever since.
Alon took a fellowship at Germantown Academy where he served as the resident student composer and regularly wrote and performed in the Belfry Club, the oldest high school musical theater troupe in America.
His signature sound encapsulates the heart, soul and breadth of his early influences, blending them with his true musical passion, New Orleans Blues influenced Soul. He cites Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Al Green, Dr. John, Professor Longhair, and Harry Connick Jr. among the influences that helped shape him into the artist he is today.

Alon would find himself experimenting with a wide range of musical styles, performing contemporary a cappella, jazz, and funk, before becoming immersed in MIDI composition, writing for jazz ensembles, full orchestras, regional music theater, and local film tracks soundtracks while taking the EDM sensibilities of modern house and techno and making it his own.
Alon’s signature sound makes you want to roll down the windows, turn the stereo up to 11, and sing your damn heart out!
As rap was beginning to go mainstream, Alon briefly worked at Warehouse Recording Studios in Philadelphia alongside DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince (aka Will Smith) while they produced their award-winning Summertime album. (Alon is quick to point out that he was head of vacuuming, microphone set up, and coffee preparation.)
Soon after, he gravitated towards becoming a performing keyboard player and back up vocalist in various East Coast rock bands including Solar Potpie, Nothing Rhymes with Orange, and, most notably, Flux Capacitor.
His musical journey has traversed through Latin, Pop, Rock, and Blues, and has come full circle back to being a full-time composer, which is where it all began for him.
The latest creative Pet Project of Alon’s is a comedic musical, written and composed by himself, that has been a major focus since his relocation to New Orleans. Cereal Killers explores the, often complex, fantasy world of cereal mascots, and shows audiences the sides we don’t see on the box.
